Through the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and advisors, Illinois State offers over 90 Study Abroad programs annually. Faculty and staff commit their time and expertise in many ways, including actively participating in programs, writing recommendation letters to accompany student applications, and introducing Illinois State to potential partner universities.
The Office of International Studies and Programs serves as a resource to dedicated Illinois State faculty and staff who are interested in developing, participating in, or facilitating the movement of students and faculty through overseas study and exchange.
There are many ways to get involved:
Academic Advising — Help students integrate overseas course offerings into their ISU plan of study.
International Internships — Help students plan for and participate in an international internship during an academic semester or the summer term.
Faculty Director — Become the main recruiter and advisor for a college or department specific program.
Start A New Program — Help forge a new partnership or linkage with an overseas institution, or develop a short-term faculty-led program.
