PUCV offers courses for students at an intermediate or advanced level of Spanish acquisition who are seeking an intensive immersion program with local students while earning credit towards a major or minor.
Students will earn 6 credits during a summer session at PUCV.

Students studying at PUCV can follow one of four tracks while studying in Chile:
Students who opt to enroll in the program with the Service Learning course can choose to earn senior level hours for the class or LALS 398A01 - Professional Practice Internships, which is an elective in the Latin American and Latino/a Studies minor sequence.

The coastal city of Valparaíso, known for its unique, colorful architecture and winding streets, offer impressive views of the Pacific Ocean and is approximately one hour from Santiago.
Students studying at PUCV will have the option to live with a host family or in a pension (guest house) during their study abroad experience.
Please note: Pensiones are not available during the intensive month. Students interested in intensive month programming should choose a homestay placement.Additional housing information
