In this summer program, education students will spend two weeks learning about the educational system in the country of Costa Rica. The program will also feature Spanish language lessons and excursions to gorgeous jungles and coastal beaches.
Students can earn 3-6 credit hours during this summer program.
Upon arrival, students will experience the Univerisdad Nacional de Costa Rica and Heredia as they participate in an orientation, tour, and welcome meal with local college students (amigos ticos). Cultural and education experiences will continue with tours and observations in 5 schools, activities with students in the schools, two day trips to a volcano and coffee plantation and a 2-night excursion to the Pacific coast.
