Kansai Gaidai University is a multidisciplinary program offering a wide range of courses during fall and spring semesters.
Students can take between 4 - 6 classes for a total of 14 – 17 credits during a Fall or Spring semester.
Students wanting to enroll in language classes beyond beginner level will take a placement test upon arrival to determine language level
Students that study abroad in the Spring semester are able to extend their program duration and apply for an internship placement during the summer. Internships are available with Japanese companies and school organizations during the summer semester only.

Kansai Gaidai is located in Hirakata City, with a population of 400,000, in the cultural heart of Japan situated 30 minutes between Osaka and Kyoto.
Kansai Gaidai University offers its international students three types of housing arrangements: homestay, dormitory, and off-campus housing.For additional housing information, see the host university's website for Accommodations
The primary option and highly encouraged by the university, it is an excellent way to acquire and enhance knowledge about the Japanese language and culture.
Security Deposit: No
Kansai Gaidai offers a dormitory option called Global Commons YUI.
This option is great for students that want to live among fellow students, who come from very diverse cultural backgrounds
