Students will learn about issues related to culture, communication differences, communication disorders, and professional practice of speech-language pathologists in Scotland, England, & Ireland.
Students will earn 3 credits (independent study) during this program.
The Independent Study options are as follows:
Undergraduate Independent Study (3 credits)
CSD 299: Honors Independent Study (3 credits)
CSD 400: Graduate Independent Study (3 credits)
Students will be expected to meet as a class with the Faculty Director prior to program departure. Schedule will be coordinated between Faculty Director and students.
After the in-country portion has concluded, there will also be an mandatory debriefing session as a class.
This program is a traveling experience including stops in Edinburgh, London, & Dublin.
During this program CSD students will have the opportunity to observe many facets of communication through observation and hands-on research.
Students will be housed in hotels for the duration of the tour.
