First Steps Sessions
Interested in studying abroad but don't know where to start? Attend First Steps!
First Steps will prepare you to meet with a Study Abroad Advisor, as it covers important information about the study abroad process and the basics for getting started. After attending one of these sessions, you will be able to schedule an appointment with a Study Abroad Advisor. Being prepared allows you more time to ask specific questions and explore program details during your appointment.
Who should attend First Steps?
- Students who want to study abroad for a full semester or academic year.
- Students who want to study abroad over the summer through a direct enroll program (not faculty-led).*
- Students who are ready to start planning an experience abroad but aren't sure where to start.
*Students interested in faculty-led programs (summer, spring break, winter break, fall break), should connect with the program Faculty Director and/or Study Abroad Advisor for more details.
We recommend that you complete the First Steps Worksheet to get started planning your adventure abroad.
For additional information, feel free to check out the First Steps video recorded by a Study Abroad Alumni and Ambassador.
