Freeman Awards for Study In Asia
Eligibility:
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
- Must currently receive need-based financial aid or demonstrate verifiable need
- Must be an undergraduate student with a minimum GPA of 2.8
- Must have applied or have been accepted to a study abroad based program in: Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam
- Must participate in program at least 8 weeks

AsiaConnect Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Must be an undergraduate students who are currently enrolled at Illinois State University.
- Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Excellence and interest in studying cultures or languages of Asian countries
- Active involvement in Asian Culture-related ISU RSOs or local communities
- Planning to study abroad in Asian countries
AsiaConnect Scholarship: Information and Application
Illinois Global Scholarship for Asia
Eligibility:
- All submission should be jointly submitted by a student and faculty advisor. The faculty advisor can either be a study abroad officer or a professor. The faculty advisor can either be a study abroad officer or a professor. Preferably this individual would have a working relationship with the student applicant.
- Submissions will be accepted from any undergraduate, graduate or doctoral student who is attending a university or college in the state of Illinois.
- Student applicants should be seeking to participate in a global learning experience in Asia. The global learning experience can be:
- Short-term faculty led program (10 days – 8 weeks)
- Semester or fully year study abroad program
- International internship (6 weeks minimum)
- Virtual learning programs (4 weeks minimum)
- International scholarly research (4 weeks minimum)
- Submissions will be accepted only from students who have selected a global learning experience in a country different from their nationality and/or different from the country that issued their passport.

Eligibility:
- Must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health
