Illinois State Tuition Charges
- All students participating in an OIE-sponsored study abroad program will be billed 2 credit hours of Illinois State tuition based on the catalog year they began their studies at ISU.
- The 2 credit hour tuition rate only applies to courses taken on the study abroad program and does not apply to ISU online courses or ISU on-campus courses.
- The 2 credit hours of Illinois State tuition allow students to:
- receive ISU credit (as opposed to transfer credit) for all courses taken abroad
- maintain their ISU student status and enrollment at ISU while abroad
- access ISU services and resources while abroad
Though billed for only 2 credit hours of Illinois State tuition, students typically earn 3-21 ISU credits depending on the length of their study abroad program.
- Semester programs earn: 12-21 credits
- Summer programs earn: 3-12 credits
- Short-Term/Break programs earn: 3-6 credits
- Illinois State tuition and ISU Student Health Insurance charges are billed directly by Illinois State University and use the regular Student Accounts billing cycle.
